Quicke’s and GAIL’s first came together earlier this year with lashings of Quicke's Whey Butter topping sourdough toast and crumbly scones in their 48 bakeries across London.
The newest addition to the GAIL's counter is a delicious Cauliflower & Goat's Cheese Quiche made with our multi-award-winning Goat's Milk Clothbound Cheese. Inside the homemade flaky pastry crust lies rich and creamy egg with our fragrant goat's cheese, paired with thyme, broccoli, smoked almonds and Dijon mustard. A delicious expression of our six-month Goat's Milk cheese.
As well as the butter and new quiche, we collaborated with GAIL's on an Einkorn Sourdough using whey, a bi-product of the cheesemaking process. Whole cheddars are now also sent up from Quicke's Farm to London for the bakery’s epic Ham & Cheese Sandwich served between French Dark Sourdough. With the core of the truckle removed to achieve a perfect slice, the leftover crumbly bits and the core make their way into the Cheddar Sourdough Stick, created especially for these offcuts to be out to good use.
