Important cake information before you place an order:
More information about the cheeses that make up each tier:
Top Tier: BIX Handmade by Nettlebed Dairy in Oxfordshire, this is based on French cheeses like Chaource and Brillat Savarin made using organic extra double cream milk from the Nettlebed farm, the cheese is matured for 3 weeks to create a bloomy white rind and a rich indulgent centre.
Fourth Tier: EVE Handmade in Somerset by White Lake who makes the most incredible soft cheeses. Eve is a unique soft Goat's Cheese, made using 100% goats milk, this soft cheese is washed in Somerset cider brandy, adding a wonderful depth of flavour. The cheese is then wrapped in a vine leaf and matured. The perfect tier to a wedding cake, adding a bit of colour from the leaves and creating a wonderful nutty finish.
Third Tier: BABY BARON BIGOD Handmade in small batches using a Brie de Meaux recipe, this soft cow's milk cheese is something truly special. It is made by Fen Farm Dairy in Suffolk using the milk from their own herd of free-ranging Montbeliarde cows. The white rind is nutty and mushroomy and the interior is beautifully smooth and silky with a fresh and citrussy centre.
Second Tier: NETTLE YARG This vibrant cheese has been handmade by Lynher Dairies in Cornwall. The cheese is lemon and creamy just under the exquisite nettle rind and gloriously crumbly at the core. The nettles are edible!
First Tier: COLSTON BASSETT STILTON Colston Bassett Dairy in Nottinghamshire make an absolutely delicious blue stilton using cow's milk that comes from local farms within 1.5 miles of the dairy. The cheese has a beautiful mellow flavour and is creamy yet tangy without being too acidic.
Base Tier: MATURE CHEDDAR TRUCKLE Handcrafted on the Quicke's, Devon estate using milk from our grass-fed Quicke's breed cows, clothbound and naturally matured, typically for 6 months. Creamy and buttery with hints of brothy to grassy to caramel notes.

What our customers say:
"Your Whiddon Down Celebration Cheese Cake was just fantastic thank you! I frequently pop into the Quicke’s cheese shop at their farm when I am passing to buy my favourite local Devon cheese. So I decided to gift a celebration cheese cake tower for my BIL’s wedding. I couldn't have had a better service. The payment and delivery process all happened seamlessly. The cheeses were delicious too. Everybody loved it!! Highly recommended. Thank you" Laura, May 2023
