Whilst we are hand-making cheese in our beautiful corner of Devon, on the other side of the county, next to the River Dart, Sharpham Wine are producing a selection of outstanding English wines.
Sharpham is widely recognised as producing some of England's most outstanding wines for nearly 25 years. Their wines offer intense fruit flavours and aromas, which are made from carefully selected grape varieties grown on sheltered slopes overlooking the River Dart. Traditional and new world techniques are employed resulting in a range of distinctive and carefully balanced wines

Below we share our favourite summer wine and cheese pairings...
1.SHARPHAM DART VALLEY RESERVE, 11%
Sharpham's Dary Valley Reserve is ripe and fruit driven and has a rich profile. Stone fruits such as white peach dominate the nose. The palate is rounded with sweet apricot and a subtle spice on the finish.
QUICKE'S BUTTERY CLOTHBOUND CHEDDAR
Our youngest cheddar is a mouth-watering match for Lyme Bay's Chardonnay. Our expert cheesemakers handcraft our Buttery Clothbound Cheddar using heritage starters, before it is clothbound and stored in the cool quiet of our cheese cellars where it matures naturally for three months. Capturing the intensely buttery flavour found at this early stage of maturing; it’s a perfect expression of our rich creamy Devonshire milk.
2.SHARPHAM PINOT NOIR, 12%
A ripe and youthful cool climate Pinot Noir showing wild strawberry, cherry with subtle spice. Full flavoured with juicy red berries and broad tannins.
QUICKE'S MATURE CHEDDAR
Our rich and buttery Mature Clothbound Cheddar offers outstanding depth of flavour, which develops as it reaches the back of the palate. Brothy to grassy to caramel notes.
3.SHARPHAM ELDERFLOWER SPARKLING,12%
This Elderflower Sparkling Wine easy-going English aperitif that’s fresh and citrus-driven with delicate elderflower notes.
QUICKE'S GOAT'S MILK CHEESE
Made using locally-sourced goat's milk, our delightfully different Goat's Milk Clothbound Cheese has a vibrant, almondy and buttery.
4.SHARPHAM SPARKLING BLANC, 12%
A light and fresh, traditional method English Sparkling Blanc. It is citrus driven that also shows green apple, toast and baked bread from the lees ageing. The palate has a fresh acidity and a soft mousse.

Our Devonshire Red Clothbound Cheese is a vibrant, full-flavoured cheese is our distinctive take on a classic Red Leicester, with a crumbly texture, fresh, nutty flavours and a lemony creaminess.
