Welcome to Quicke's Cheese
Thank you for visiting our stand today.
We are proud to have farmed the same land in Devon since 1540.
We craft our cheese using recipes passed down through generations. Each cheese reflects the richness of our Devon soil, our carefully grazed pastures, and the art of slow maturation. It’s a true expression of place; where heritage, craft, and innovation come together.
Today Quicke's is run by Jane (pictured above with Mary), the 15th generation of the family. Jane follows her mother Mary, and before that, her grandmother Prue, who built the cheese dairy in the 1970s.
If you would like any information about the cheeses and whey butter you tasted today, or you would like to come on a tour and see how we craft our cheese then please either get in touch with your account manager or Jane Quicke (email jane.quicke@quickes.co.uk or phone 01392 851222).

Nurturing the land since 1540 and crafting clothbound cheeses since the 1970s.

Our herd is made up of a variety of traditional dairy stock; each breed has been specifically chosen to create the ultimate hybrid - the Quicke's cow.
Every Quicke's cheese is wrapped in muslin to let it breathe as it matures. This allows the wonderful rind to develop as it slowly matures in the cool, quiet of our cheese store for up to two years.
There's a Quicke's clothbound cheese to suit every palate, from the mellow creaminess of our Buttery Cheddar to our delightfully different goat's cheese, created from the finest goat's milk.
