Production Assistant – Cheesemaking Team
Pay: £12.21-£13.34 per hour
Job Description:
We are looking for a Production Assistant to support our cheesemaking, stores, and dispatch teams. If you are reliable, hardworking, and enjoy practical work, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Location: Quicke'sHome Farm, Newton St Cyres, Exeter, EX5 5AY
What will you do?

Assist with traditional cheesemaking.

Work across production, stores, and dispatch departments.

Cut, weight, and pack cheese to customer specifications.

Accurately prepare and record customer orders.

Operate packing and cutting equipment (full training provided)

Maintain excellent food hygiene and safety standards.

Communicate clearly and work as part of a supportive team.

Take part in continuous improvement and adapt to new processes.

Support occasional forklift work (training provided)
What are we looking for?

A working experience of a dairy or food manufacturing environment would be an advantage, but full training is given.

Physically fit and able to lift heavy items (cheeses weigh 27–40 kg)

Reliable, responsible, and eager to learn.

Attentive to detail

Able to work within a team and independently when needed.

Hours: 5 days (Monday – Friday). Prepared to work at weekends and bank holidays if needed.
Salary: Monthly paid.
Holiday: 23 days + public holidays
