Meet The Team

To produce Quality Cheese we need Quality Assurance & that is something we can guarantee!
We caught up with our Quality Assurance Manager Emma Cordery to find out all about her and the very important role she plays here at Quicke’s.
How long have you been working at Quicke's?
3 years
What time does your day start?
6.00am dog walk!
What does a typical day look like?
The thing that I love most about my job is that I don’t have a ‘typical’ day – I am very fortunate that my role means I get to work with all of the different departments and get involved in a wide range of projects.
What is the best part of your day?
Early morning, before the chaos commences!
Is there a particular month you prefer working on the farm?
We’re so lucky to be able to see the changing of the seasons at Home Farm, but think Spring is the most magical.
What is your favourite memory so far?
My first external audit completed with no non-conformances!
What is the best part of your job/ working at Quicke's?
The people without a doubt. A great mix of characters, all with a wealth of knowledge of their roles.
If we could give you a lifetime supply of any of our cheeses, which one would it be and why?
Very difficult to choose - but think I’ll go for Mature for its versatility.
Do you have a favourite recipe using Quicke's cheese or butter?
Our whey butter is amazing for baking with – but also need to try Kate’s Goat’s cheese ice cream.
Our cheese is made with 3 primary ingredients (milk, sea salt & time). What are the main ingredients in your life and work?
People – Humour – Cheese!
What would you do for a living if you were not working at Quicke's?
Something horticultural-based – would love to run my own nursery!
