We’ve been overwhelmed by the amazing support we have received during this difficult time, while so many of our customers: restaurants, pubs and delis were out of action. Thank you for reaching out to get the cheese you love.
We wanted to share your love with some great handmade West Country cheeses and their makers. We’ve curated some top cheeses with different styles and milk, perfect for a stunning picnic, celebration or cheese lover's cheeseboard.
Luscious summer time cheeses, that help our delicate West Country food web thrive!
Sharpham Brie 200g | Sharpham, Devon | Cow | Unpasteurised (V)
Mark Sharman with his cheesemaker Debbie Mumford make this luscious and extraordinary cheese with raw milk from the Sharpham Jersey herd. Luscious, melting, mould-ripened. It’s buttery, with some chicory notes. Pair with Sharpham's Pinot Noir.
Rachel 200g | White Lake, Somerset | Goat | Pasteurised (V)
Made by the legendary award-winning duo at White Lake, Pete Humphries and Roger Longman. Rachel is a goat’s milk washed rind cheese with a hard make, giving a dusky rind and glorious, nutty notes. Great with a golden zesty ale such as Hanlons Yellow Hammer.
Beenleigh Blue 200g | Ticklemore Dairy, Devon | Sheep | Pasteurised (V)
Made just up the road from Sharpham by Ben Harris, it’s a Devon take on Roquefort. Beenleigh Blue is a glorious mix of the firmness of sheep’s milk and the melt in the mouth of a luscious blue cheese, without being too pungent. It’s lovely with a ripe aromatic pear and Devonshire honey.
Mature Clothbound Cheddar 200g | Quicke's, Devon | Cow | Pasteurised
The heart of a cheeseboard Quicke's mature uses milk from our grass-fed cows, hand cheddared with zingy note from the Cornish Sea Salt, clothbound developing an almost horseradishy rind. Brothy, grassy, buttery deliciousness. Pair with Sandford Orchards' ciders, such as Devon Red or Devon Mist.
FREE delivery. Please note the Beenleigh Blue and Rachel are hand-cut and wrapped to order so please allow 2 working days for delivery. To guarantee delivery of your West Country Cheese Box in time for the weekend please order by 2pm on Wednesday.
Although we do our best to ensure all wedges of cheese are 200g, the weights of the hand-cut and wrapped wedges may vary slightly.
