Sandford Orchards Tremlett's Bitter 7.8%
Description
Expert cidermaker Barny Butterfield is passionate about protecting Devon’s traditional cider methods. Based just a few miles from our farm, Sandford Orchards' award-winning ciders use naturally fermented apple juice from orchards within a 30-mile radius of their press in Crediton.
This small-batch cider is fermented with Sandford Orchards' unique Cider House Yeast. It is golden straw in colour with a stable haze and aromas of oxidised apple skins and ripe stone fruit. A rustic hint on the palate leads to blockbusting tannins that layer through the cider. Peppery and bright with a riot of fruit, balanced with notes of French oak and pine. A lip-smacking astringency gives way to gently softening tannins and a buttery, baked apple finish.
