Description

We have curated a Winter Farmstead Cheese Board to capture the essence of Winter. Collaborating with some of our good friends, we have selected the perfect cheeses to create a delicious winter feast.

Each cheese has been crafted from milk produced within metres of the dairy. Every aspect of their characters is imparted by the fields, the animals, the season and the cheese stores at each farm. Not only do farmstead cheeses taste delicious, but they also help to preserve some of the most ancient and ecologically diverse corners of the country.

Extra Mature Cheddar 500g | Quicke's, Devon | Cow | Pasteurised |  - Quicke's Extra Mature is handcrafted using milk from our grass-fed cows. Graded for its wonderfully rich, rounded cheddar notes, with a deep, complex balance of flavours- from brothy to buttery, to fresh-cut grass. Typically matured for 18 months.  Extra Mature is particularly good with Claire's Damson Chutney

Tor 200g | White Lake, Somerset | Goats |Unpasteurised| (V) Produced in Somerset, Roger Longman’s pyramid goat's cheese is the perfect addition to a cheeseboard.  Tor has a unique geotrichum rind and dusted with ash to add a very subtle peppery undertone along with a combination of lemony flavours and a typical goat’s cheese ‘tang’.

Colston Basset Stilton 200g | Colston Basset Dairy, Nottinghamshire | Cow | Pasteurised - Made in Nottinghamshire by a cooperative of residents and using local milk. This is the only dairy that continues to use the traditional process of ladling curds from the vat to the cooling trays entirely by hand. This creates a smooth rich texture. Delicious with a Hanlons Port Stout.

Sharpham Brie 300g | Sharpham, Devon | Cow | Unpasteurised (V)- Made using their own Sharpham recipe since 1981, cheesemaker Peter Haworth and owner Greg Parsons create this luscious and extraordinary cheese with raw milk from the Sharpham Jersey herd. Luscious, melting, mould-ripened. firm, rich and creamy when young, softening with mushroomy notes and a chicory finish with age. Pair with Sharpham's Pinot Noir.

This box contains a little note card explaining each of the cheeses and is available to purchase in the months of December, January and February.  You can pre-order this from October for delivery from the start of December.

FREE delivery. Please note the Stilton is hand-cut and wrapped to order so please allow 2 working days for delivery. We occasionally might have to substitute a product. We shall try our hardest not to, but where possible we shall try like for like.

Although we do our best to ensure all wedges of cheese are 200g, the weights of the hand-cut and wrapped wedges may vary slightly.
