Handcrafted using milk from our grass-fed cows, clothbound and naturally matured, typically for 12-15 months.
A rich and buttery cheddar that offers outstanding depth of flavour, which develops as it reaches the back of the palate. Brothy to grassy to caramel notes.

Pasteurised. Cow's milk.
All UK deliveries will arrive within 1-2 working days of despatch. We send out orders using a third-party courier service, Tuesday - Friday. To arrange for a parcel to be left safe please contact the courier, using the tracking number provided in your dispatch confirmation email.
Keep refrigerated. To enjoy this cheese at its best, eat within 7 days of opening and by the best before date shown. Once opened we recommend wrapping your cheese in greaseproof paper and storing in an air-tight container in the fridge.
Every now and again I treat myself to Quickes’ wonderful cloth bound cheddar with a proper rind. I haven’t tasted cheese like this since I was a child when I used to accompany my mother to the grocers to get the ‘rations’. This was in the 1940s during and after the war. Mum gave up her meat ration in order to obtain extra cheese for Dad’s sandwich lunches and the whole amount for 2 adults and 2 children for a week was 8oz (less than 250 gms). Needless to say I didn’t get much of it but I’ve certainly made up for it since. The nearer the rind the better the flavour. Thank you Quickes for some heavenly cheese.
